RE: Crab Cakes

This is the one i like. 1 pound Crab meat 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs 1 large egg 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon pepper 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon dry mustard Margarine, butter or oil for frying 1. Remove all cartilage from crabmeat 2. In a bowl, mix bread crumbs, egg, mayonnaise and seasonings. 3. Add crab meat and mix gently but thoroughly. If mixture is dry, add a little more mayonnaise. Shape into 6 cakes 4. Cook cakes in a frying pan,in just enough fat to prevent sticking, until they are browned (about 5 minutes on each side) This recipe is from Parris N. Glendening Governor of Maryland 2004

RE: Do you belong to a local Good Sam's Club?

We just discussed this at our last meeting. We had more than one inquirer about joining our chapter that had no idea how to contact a group in there area and had call the state director and they had give them information on how to contact our group. We made several contacts and finally gave up didn't want to become a nuisance. I would encourage you to make another contact you never know what could have happened the contact person might have moved are something worse.

RE: Paying bills.

There are several ways to do it. Some have been mention. This is another make two list one write all your incoming checks. Another with all the payments you make each by month & by year list there phone numbers (800) if they have one. In the next few months before you leave write down the date you receive them and the date you have to pay. When they come due call and get the amount and mail them a check. I do encourage you to learn to bank by Internet it is easer than writing a check don't take long to understand it. If you don't have a computer I have used a lot of computers in Library where we have traveled.
